We help defence and veteran families access services and entitlements, strengthen social and emotional wellbeing, and build confidence to navigate complex systems.
Social Work (Nationwide)
Psychosocial assessment and intervention; individual and family support; casework; system navigation and coordination; tailored referrals. Care is person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed. Self-referrals are accepted. We are not a crisis service.
Wellbeing (online, in person in the ACT & NSW)
Free, practical activities—in person and online—centred on self-care and social connection (e.g. gentle walks, creative arts, therapeutic writing, sound healing).
Peer networks and social groups, plus a closed online community for connection, advice and education.
Monthly wellbeing newsletter and webinars sharing relevant information for families.
Who it’s for:
All families connected to an ADF member—current or former—including widows, partners, parents, siblings, children, etc.
Our approach:
Early, tailored support; empowerment through peer connection; and advocacy that recognises the role and needs of families.
