Families of Veterans Guild is Australia’s only national organisation dedicated to supporting all defence and veteran families—widows, partners, parents, siblings, children, and more—from the first day of service and beyond.

We offer tailored social work, wellbeing support, peer connection, information, education, and advocacy, ensuring families are empowered, connected, and heard. Our trauma-informed, strengths-based approach helps families navigate challenges such as grief, isolation, caring responsibilities, and complex systems, fostering resilience and belonging.

By addressing gaps in existing services and advocating for the inclusion of all families in the veteran support system, we help build a healthier, more resilient Defence Force and community.

Our services are available nationwide to all family members and include direct support, service navigation, bereavement care, peer networks, wellbeing activities, and advocacy for systemic change—ensuring no family is left behind.
